The tag is an access point. If someone needs owner-approved details, they can open the public profile on a phone without installing Petvo. Designed to work with Petvo tags and compatible writable NFC or QR-enabled products. Pairing a tag you already own is coming soon.
What a Petvo pet ID tag does
Traditional engraved tags show a name and a phone number. That is useful until the number changes, the engraving wears, or you need more than two lines of text.
A Cloud Tag opens the public Petvo profile you control. You choose what a finder can see: how to reach you, emergency contacts, and other owner-approved details. You can update that information in the app without replacing the tag.
Private medical records, family sharing, and memories stay in Petvo. The tag does not dump the whole file into public view.
How someone opens the public profile
Hold a compatible phone to the tag, or scan it. The public Petvo page opens in the phone’s browser. No Petvo app is required to see the details you approved.
That is the point of the tag: a fast path to the right information when a stranger, sitter, or clinic needs it. Day to day, families live in Petvo itself.
What it is not
It is not a GPS tracker. It does not stream live location. It cannot promise a lost pet will come home. Connecting a compatible location tracker to the same Petvo profile is a future platform vision, not something available today, and we do not promise compatibility with any specific product.
Petvo is also not “just a smart tag.” The product is the digital identity. The Cloud Tag is premium hardware that makes that identity easier to reach from a collar. Compatible outside tags are coming soon.
Custom pet identification and personalization
Cloud Tags are part of a custom Petvo experience: your pet’s photo, profile, and products designed around them. Choose a tag color, keep their public details current, and order stickers, magnets, and keepsakes from the personalized shop. You do not need a tag to celebrate them.

Do I need the app to use a Cloud Tag as a finder?
No. The public profile opens on any phone. Private records stay in Petvo unless you share them.
Can I update contact details without buying a new tag?
Yes. Change what is public in the Petvo app. The tag still points to the same profile.
Is this only for lost pets?
No. Identification is one door in. Most of Petvo is everyday care, family access, records, photos, and keepsakes.
